Pop Culture of the Poor
Our pop culture has become simple and cautions. Over the last few months, it seems that television has focused a little less on the lifestyles of the rich and famous and more on the harsh realities that are plagueing the lifestyle of ordinary people. “How do we get by” has become the new theme in T.V. entertainment. Celebrities have always been a target for reality television, but now, there’s more of an interest in documenting the people who are stuggling to pay the bills while working the 9-5. Millions can easily relate to such indiviuals, and this is precisely why producers have picked up on this trend so quickly.
