Viva La Revolucion!!!

Published by benistiphan at 1:57 pm under News, Uncategorized Edit This

This past new year’s day marked the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. For some, it represents bitterness and defeat, but for many others, the revolution in Cuba symbolizes hope and unity. To say that the revolution proceeded with success and prosperity is a little far-fetched. Nonetheless, the events of 1959 and those that preceded it, will remain influential.

Regardless of its size and power, imperialism can be defeated or contained when the people unite as a single entity. The forces of greed and oppression are no match against equality and social justice. Fidel Castro is only one man, so to think that his slow demise will eventually give way to the free market and American interest of the past is premature. Cubans will resist and defy imperialism, because their history knows no other alternative. You can compromise with this tiny Island, but you surely can’t exploit it, because the ghost of Che Guevara continues to linger.

America does not support the free market… I hate this myth. But to your post, I hope Cuba doesn’t give in to America. As soon as they do American companies would have the potential to swarm in and economically control the country.

    Viva la revolucion!
