A Resolution For Everyone
I was initially going to share my new year’s resolution with the blogging community, but I would rather spare the boring details right now and speak of something greater. A new year’s resolution has become more of a cliche than anything, as we seek to overcome the personal obstacles and challenges that will await us in the coming weeks and months, only to feel a sense of defeat by the end.
Sometimes we might set the bar a little too high, as we tend to have high expectations, while we overestimate our individual ability. It’s not so much that the resolution is impractical or too idealistic, but some causes demand a greater number of participants if it is to come to fruition. I might not be capable of tackling poverty or global warming alone, but I’m sure I know others who share similar aspirations. If we all do our part, even if it seems little to the individual eye, the end result as a whole will be positive. During these perilous times, ask not ” what can I do?” but rather “what we can do?”
