A Scholar Who Doesn’t Put Me To Sleep
Michael Ignatieff is now the interim leader of the Liberal party. Ignatieff is a Harvard professor and an expert in nationalism and ethnic conflict. His work at times has generated controversy, yet his unique insight is nothing short of brilliant. As a political science student, I’ve had to force myself to read some of the most driest and tedious scholarly work out there. For the most part, academics are researches, not entertainers. However, Ignatieff has a skill in amalgamating the two, creating objective arguments with subjective experiences. I might not always agree with him, but he sure makes things interesting. Expect the same as he moves further away from the lecture hall and closer to 24 Sussex Drive.
